PLAN YOUR VISIT

Hello.

Visiting a new church can be intimidating. We want your first visit to be stress-free so you can experience all God has for you. Check out the following FAQs, and to help us get to know you a little better, fill out our Connection Card online!

What to Expect

WHEN ARE YOUR SERVICES?
We meet Sunday mornings at 8:45 am and 10:30 am.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
You’ll see people wearing jeans, suits, shorts, and dresses on Sunday mornings. Our church is casual and relaxed, and we want you to come as you are.
WHAT DO I DO WHEN I GET THERE?
Upon arrival, one of our First Impressions team will meet you at the front door. You can then make your way to the Welcome Desk to talk to one of our pastors and receive a small gift, or go straight ahead into the Multi-Purpose Room for service. We have Connection Cards attached to our bulletins. Please take a moment to fill that out and place it in the offering plate or leave it at the Welcome Desk on your way out.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS & TEENS?
At Freshwater, we love kids! Our Childrens’ Wing is to the right of the main Foyer. Stop by one of our kiosks to register your child (infant through 4th grade), and you’ll receive drop off instructions and a security tag. Your child’s safety is a priority, and you will need your tag for pick up. Infants through 4th graders years old will go directly to their classes.
WHAT ABOUT WORSHIP?
Our worship style is modern. You will find people sitting or standing, some with their arms raised. We want you to worship in a way that is comfortable for you.
HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL SERVICE LAST?
Around one hour and 15 minutes.

Other Things You Should Know

Freshwater Church has called Wadsworth, Ohio home for more than 80 years after first opening its doors to the community in 1932. Located 45 minutes south of downtown Cleveland and 20 minutes west of downtown Akron (depending on who is driving, of course), Freshwater has a deep conviction that people are yearning to connect with God, to know Him, so our ultimate goal is simple: to help people encounter Him. Time and again, we hear comments about how real the presence of God is during our services, and wherever the living God is present, powerful ministry follows. We have moved away from printing an order of service each week because we’ve found when God shows up, all our plans get blown up anyway.

Freshwater’s average age of 36 reflects the family-focused community of Wadsworth. All generations attend our church, from babies to grandparents and everyone in between, all together. We like it that way. There’s something about knowing someone who has lived a long time with God, who doesn’t get worked up about trials and suffering, and there’s something equally as inspiring about providing a safe place where the next generation of believers can spread their wings and release their God-given passions into this world.

We would love to have you come and visit. We’ve got plenty of room!
