Nikki
Nikki Madachik
Children’s Ministry Lead
Nikki was born and raised in Wadsworth. She attended a private school in Medina before spending her last two years at Wadsworth High School. While she was at Wadsworth, Nikki was part of the Teacher Academy, which helped solidify her career path in education. Nikki graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Akron before working in several schools as a teacher.
Nikki met Mike, her husband of 20 years, while working at a daycare in Medina. Nikki and Mike have four children ranging from a recent high school graduate to a third grader. Nikki was able to stay at home after having their second child and raise their four children. This also gave her the opportunity to be involved in the PTO in the Wadsworth Schools for several years. Favorite things to do as a family are swimming, beach vacations, family dinners where they cook together, and movie nights.
Nikki grew up in a Christian home and used her gifts to serve the church by teaching VBS or Sunday School classes, and she was even a camp counselor. In 2019, Nikki went on a mission trip through Freshwater to Germany where she helped with an English day camp. This proved to be a pivotal moment in her faith, when she fully surrendered to the Lord and trusted Him with everything. After this, she was given an opportunity to go back to work teaching at a local preschool in a Pre-K room in the fall of 2020. In the summer of 2021, she joined Freshwater’s Kids Ministry team as an assistant. Nikki has used her gifts that the Lord has given in various ways throughout her life and continues to follow his leading and direction in her life. Because God has shown up in mighty ways in Nikki’s life, one of the most important verses to her is Isaiah 40:31: “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
