Operation Christmas Child Collection at Freshwater

November 22 8:45 - 10:30am  |  Freshwater Community Church

590 Hartman Rd, Wadsworth, OH, USA

Our lives have been turned upside down this year but as we approach Operation Christmas Child Collection Week, we are again reminded that NOTHING will obstruct the Lord’s plans and purpose. The world has been gripped by fear with a pandemic, wildfires, flooding, and explosions, yet Samaritan’s Purse continues to respond to those suffering, to share the eternal hope of the Gospel and to serve in Jesus’ Name. Through Operation Christmas Child, a simple shoebox, filled with school supplies, a toy, and hygiene items, will bring the message of hope and love to not only a child but to entire communities as they learn about our Savior. But the shoebox is only the beginning.

After receiving their shoebox gift, children are invited to participate in The Greatest Journey. Through this 12-lesson course, which includes Bible stories and Scripture memorization, they learn how to follow Christ in their daily lives as they share Him with friends and family. More than 23.3 million children have enrolled in this program since 2009.

We will have empty shoeboxes in the Foyer this Sunday for you to take, fill, and return on November 22. If you are unable to attend our in-person services or simply prefer not to shop in the stores, you can still participate by building a box online at Samaritan’s Purse. If you have any questions, contact Janet Grasso at [email protected] or Jo-Lynn Brooks at [email protected].
