Faith of a Champion with Don Beebe

May 17 7:00 - 9:00 pm

590 Hartman Road, Wadsworth, OH, USA

Connect with other guys on Saturday, May 17 from 7-9pm for a time of worship before hearing the inspiring story of former NFL player and Super Bowl champion Don Beebe.

A nine-year veteran wide receiver, Beebe was the first person to be a part of six Super Bowl teams, playing in instrumental role in helping the Green Bay Packers win Super Bowl XXXI in 1997. But Beebe is most remembered for his legendary “snatching a tinge of victory” from Buffalo’s defeat in Super Bowl XXVII, when he caught Leon Lett at the goal line and forced a fumble after a length-of-the-field race.

Most notable, though, is Beebe’s story of boldness and perseverance as he gained notoriety in an NFL culture that pushed against the values of his Christian faith.

At a time when men of all ages seem to be struggling to come together as one body to create connection, commonality and deeper bonds, Beebe, now an author and highly sought-after motivational speaker, will speak about spiritual truth, living out God’s will and never giving up on our faith journey. With his background, Beebe’s story is one other Christian men can relate to and personally connect with.

Tickets are $10 apiece and include light refreshments. Click here to register.

Registration closes at noon on Thursday, May 15.

Don will also be participating in a Q&A after sharing his story, and later will be available for a meet-and-greet and book signings.

More About Don Beebe

Don Beebe’s story of reaching and excelling in the NFL is considered one of the great inspirational stories in all of professional sports. Beebe was completely out of sports for 3 years, hanging aluminum siding on houses, when he was asked to play at tiny NAIA Chadron State College in western Nebraska. From that opportunity, Beebe was asked to participate in NFL combine during the winter of 1989, which was a miracle in itself. Beebe not only showed up, he went on to set speed and agility records in the NFL that still stand today. Beebe was one of the fastest players in league history, blazing to a career best 4.21 forty-yard-dash at the pinnacle of his career. Beebe went on to become the Buffalo Bills 1st pick in the 1989 draft. Now that is God doing miracles!

Upon retiring from the NFL, Beebe created House of Speed, a sports franchise business that works with both professional and young athletes to help maximize their speed and athletic talents. (Over 200,000 youth have gone through House of Speed since its inception in 1998). Though he was being recruited to coach at the collegiate and pro levels, it was Beebe’s desire to work with youth that helped him accept the varsity football coaching position for Aurora Christian High School. In 10 years as the head coach, Beebe turned this tiny private school into a powerhouse program. Reaching the playoffs every year, 7 out of 10 in the Quarterfinals, 5 out of 10 in the Semi-finals and 3 state championships winning 2 of them. Aurora Christian high school is the only team in Aurora history to win a state championship in football. It was just another example of Beebe’s “Move that mountain” attitude that motivated his young players to excel far beyond their own expectations.

Beebe then moved on to the College ranks taking the head coaching position at Aurora University in 2019. In his first season, Beebe took the team to the playoffs, which the school hadn’t done in 10 years. They won the conference title going undefeated 7-0 in which Beebe garnered Coach of the Year honors, not just for the conference but for the whole north region of the country. Then in 2022 Aurora University won their 1st playoff victory in school history. Not only that, it was the 1st playoff win in the NACC Conference history. AU made the Quarterfinals in 2022 and have not lost a conference game since taking over the program, as they are 42-0. Don Beebe has been named “Conference Coach of the Year” five years in a row. Which is every year he has coached at the collegiate level.

Beebe falls back on his knowledge, character and life experiences to motivate and inspire audiences nationwide. Beebe’s book, “Six Rings From Nowhere”, (The Don Beebe Story) is being turned into a movie. The Beebe family have agreed to terms with “Salty Earth Pictures” to produce the movie “Run For Glory” that will be coming out in 2026.

Beebe has also written two devotional books that came out in 2024. The first one is called, “Never Give Up,” helping people to always put forth the effort and never give up in life. The second book is called, “In His Image,” a Father’s devotional helping dads navigate through raising kids.
